Smoke Free Policy
The purpose of the Act is to prevent, so far as is reasonably practicable, the detrimental effects of smoking on the health of any person who does not smoke or who does not wish to smoke, inside any workplace or in certain public enclosed areas.

To provide a healthy environment for all staff and customers who enter the venue.
Policy Details
Waikato Stadium has been designated a smoke free venue. Smoking is not permitted inside the buildings or within the Arena area.
Corporate and Exclusive Lounge holders have the right to set 'their own smoking' policy inside their lounge, however, the tiered external seating must remain non-smoking.
All staff, contractors, visitors, hirers and customers are expected to abide by the requirements of the smoke free policy.
Implementation
Appropriate signs will always be clearly visible indicating the non-smoking status at the Waikato Stadium.
The policy statement will be a condition of the venue hire in any hire contract signed.
The policy statement will be included in any relevant advertising and marketing materials and avenues.
All staff and contractors applying for positions will be informed of the policy.
The policy of smoking will be displayed accordingly in staff and office areas and staff will be made aware of the policy contents.
Security and Event staff will be provided training on how to handle smoking issues in the appropriate manner.
Complaints and Enquiries
Any enquiries or complaints regarding this Policy should be directed to the Stadiums Manager or the designated management representative.
Written complaints will be dealt with by management within ten working days.
The Management of the Waikato Stadium will take any necessary action against those persons or groups who contravene the standing policy on smoking.
Any other item that Stadium management determine may cause injury or public nuisance or inconvenience to any other person.
There is no smoking in the Stadium bowl, concourse or lounge areas
